From Adolf Hitler’s 1952 hit novel “Fall of Altdorf”. The book is about the fall of the great empire of Altdorf, heavily inspired by the country of Germany, to the combined armies of Albion and Hansa. Considered to be the German equivalent to Tolkien, Hitler drew from his experiences in both the First World War and the rise of Himmler’s Volkist Party in the 1930s, describing how the once mighty and tolerant kingdom of Altdorf falls under the sway of a powerful Warlock named Friedrich Hinzer in the aftermath of a great famine that sees the ruling Helden Family exiled. Once Hinzer consolidates his power he begins launching wars of conquest on his neighbors, leading to a decade of horrific bloodshed and magical devastation That ultimately ends with Altdorf being defeated by the two great powers. The line in question is uttered by Jaeger Helden, the last of the royal line of Helden, to the leaders of Albion when they come to him to crown him as King of a much-reduced Altdorf.Sampleswift is this canon
From a Russian nationalist insurgent within the Democratic Kingdom of the Far East. He was once an important figure in the Russian Empire; one could even call him a leader. Of course, the Russian Empire had trusted Ten to be Tsar; all that backfired when Ten carried out a palace coup and formed the DKFE. Now people are getting rights in the Far East! And the old rulers resent Ten and their allies for it.
Is there an excuse to be enemies when we only disagree because we have before? Have things not changed in the last decades?
The novel would become a major hit, despite the heavy use of what is today reffered to as “Furry” characters (instead of humans the kingdoms are full of anthropomorphic animals, with wolves being in charge of Altdorf, tigers being in charge of Hansa, and boarsnin charge of Albion). It would be adapted into an animated trilogy in 1975, while Hitler would continue to flesh out the world of the novel until his death from old age in 1979.
